Incredible story about the transformation of a horse

By the time Polly was found with two other horses in Buckinghamshire, England, things weren’t looking good for her or the other two companions that were found with her. When the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) reached her, it wassaid that her condition was so bad that she waspractically part of the ground. An employee who works with RSPCA said that Polly was the ‘second skinniest horse she had ever seen’. Against all the odds, Polly was able to hold on long enough to be rescued by a group called ‘The Horse Trust’, who specialize in rehabilitating injured or sick horses. Sadly, the same cannot be said for the other two horses that passed away before they could reach help. You can see how Polly’s remarkable recovery unfolded below.

A WARNING TO OUR READERS: THE IMAGE BELOW IS GRAPHIC AND POTENTIALLY VERY UPSETTING.

WARNING: the image below is extremely graphic and potentially very upsetting.Polly was only 700 pounds when The Horse Trust found her.. Which may seem like a lot until you consider that the healthy weight for a horse should be somewhere near twice that. Thanks to the wonderful souls who work with The Horse Trust, Polly’s health began to improve, slowly. Once The Horse Trust took Polly in, her condition began to improve--albeit, slowly.

ON TOP OF POLLY’S WEIGHT ISSUES, SHE ALSO BATTLED WITH SKIN CONDITIONS LIKE RAIN SCALD AND DERMATITIS.

In addition to her weight issues, Polly also had to battle skin conditions like rain scald and dermatitis.

THE PEOPLE AT SANCTUARY WORKED FOR MONTHS TO HELP POLLY MAKE A RECOVERY, AND THANKS TO ALL OF THEIR HARD WORK AND LOVE, SHE WAS ABLE TO PULL THROUGH.

But, thanks to the hard work of everyone at the sanctuary, Polly was able to make a recovery.WOW! What a recovery indeed. This horse’s transformation is truly inspirational! Way to go Polly and all of her helpers! We all know that Polly’s case isn’t the only one like this out there, so if you are interested in supporting ‘The Horse Trust’ and their continued efforts to help animals like Polly who are in need, you can send them donations directly through their website at: https://helping-the-trust.horsetrust.org.uk/Hamish/ Images: RSPCAHorse Trust H/t: ViralNova (via The Dodo)
